Sweet Revenge

Looking for something wonderful and sinful to satisfy that sweet tooth on a lovely evening. We'll head out to Sweet Revenge Patisserie in Vancouver located on 4160 Main Street.

Albeit the place is a bit cramped with a seating limit of 1.5 hours during peak time, the desserts are to die for. The place feels like a throw-back into a 1920s Parisienne Café with their ruby-red painted walls, vintagly framed photos, large paisley patterned smoking-room sofas and small round tables. The soft music humming in the background is reminiscent of the Paris Jazz Age.

They have a variety of specialty teas and coffees, as well as some decent dessert wines, ports, sherries & beers. Just to name a few: Elysium a (black muscat), Essencia, Vidal, Martini & Rossi, Framboise (a Raspberry Ale), Madeira, Pedro Ximenez and the list goes on.

Their dessert list is a mouth-watering smorgosbord of chocolate cakes, cheesecakes, custards, puddings and assorted cheese and fruit platter.

We indulged our tastebuds in a dessert aptly named after the café - Sweet Revenge. An intensently rich and dense chocolate torte bathed in a devilish layer of dark chocolate ganache served on an ornately covered dainty cake plate. The prices are reasonable and believe me the evening out with family or friends is worth every penny.

A Must EAT Here stop!
